I too was shocked to read the negative reviews - some angry people out there - whew!!
This was our second experience with Cool Cabins; Summertime and Christmas 2007. The home on the lake was magnificent - the layout was perfect for a large group and on Christmas day we had 22 family members gather to celebrate.
To take the whole family to Big Bear for Christmas has always been a dream of mine and this year we finally did it and Cool Cabin's has beautiful lakeside homes to enhance the experience!
The kitchen was perfect to cook in and we made lots of great meals for everyone. The upstairs and downstairs living rooms with DVD/VCR player, books and games, pool table, fireplaces upstairs and down, pretty and comfortable bedrooms and a very effective heating system.
We also enjoyed the backyard with our dogs. One afternoon, I wrote all my Christmas cards to my family sitting on the patio in the backyard, looking out over the lake, peaceful, beautiful, a little piece of heaven.
We enjoyed the jacuzzi every night - spent hours talking and staring up at the many stars. The temperature was perfect!
The home was clean, towels also clean, folded in each bath along with extra's, all the appliances were in working order (coffee pot was on the slow side) and we found every type of cooking item we could ask for.
We had one morning where the garbage disposal stopped up the sink, we called the number Cool Cabins provided on the agreement and we had a repairman at our door within 30 minutes AND he fixed the problem within minutes - no more backed up sink for the remainder of our stay.
The staff at Cool Cabins has been responsive and there were no issues with refunds or discrepencies. The contract was clear and easy to understand - we took our trash to the local dumpster as directed, washed the dishes and left the home in the general same condition - no problem.
We will rent again with Cool Cabins. Thank you for the wonderful experience and terrific customer care!
