I agree with you completely. I talked to a guy who said he was an attorney and he threatened to take my car in exchange for a $997 debt that i didn't do in the first place. the original creditor is Compucredit and i did research on this company they were a debt relief program i signed up for back in 2001 and they opened a credit card with my ssn and charged my other debts to it now this company wants money. he even stated they are just trying to make money. he didn't even care about my side of the story and was so disrespectful to me and also hung up on me in the middle of our conversation. they said i opened this credit card without intent to pay, please if i charged on it i would have paid it. Companies like this should not be in business.....
