I first want to say that the few positive reviews I have read about the Bay View Law Group suspiciously sound like they wrote them themselves. I signed with Bay View Law Group over 8 months ago. I read all the paperwork, signed all the disclaimer statements and have no one but myself to blame for losing so much money to them. But I CAN try to help steer people clear of this company. They rush you through the paperwork. Red Flag #1. It's tough to get to talk to anyone in person. Red Flag #2. I can say that after 8 months and over $4,000, they have not settled with a single of my creditors even though there is PLENTY of money in my "trust" account to do so. They haven't contacted a single one of my creditors. I kept up my end by faxing all the documents that I kept getting. They had the GALL to tell me about an offer that a creditor had made---THAT I SENT TO THEM! It wasn't even close to the 40 or 50% number that they quote you. And I did the work! Meanwhile they are keeping retainer fees, and monthly fees, and administration fees.
Please beware of this company. I am now in a legal process to attempt to get some of my money back, so that I can file for bankruptcy, which is the only thing left after not paying my creditors for 8 months.
Please please don't make the same mistake I did.
