warning!!!! company is a scam...much like the other reviews, i dealt with Barron and Associates for months. Promising to stop forclosure and according to the women on the phone, they use government policies to force large mortgage companies to modify lucrative loans written within the last few years. I gave them $3000 and sent them over all of the required information. They would contact me every couple of weeks saying that they are missing a new piece of information and that time was crucial to be able to save my home and that I needed to send the missing info asap. This happened a few times, could never get ahold of the person(s) handling my case, untill i received an email stating that i needed to go and file for bankruptcy to avoid forclosure. I paid them 3000 for them to tell me that...further down the road they emailed me saying that they were unable to stop my sale date for a second time and that my house was going to be auctioned that day! The best part is that after a 5 minute phone conversation with my mortgage company, they informed me that my house in fact was not auctioned, they had the wrong info and that they hadnt been able to get a hold of anyone from Barron for 3 weeks. The last time i spoke to someone a heated argument accured which led to them telling me flat out that i was to "read my contract" and that if I had my forclosure date postponed even once then there is no refund of any money despite the fact there is and never was any modification. According to my mortgage company, at no time was there a modification coming from them because of the work of this firm, and that they were sorry to say I wasted 3000. Co- incidently, my case handler was Joan Del...go figure.
