We hired Allstate Relocation Systems in June 2010 to move us from Southern California to Northern California. When unloading the trucks at our new place, we noticed several items were damaged and/or destroyed. We immediately contacted our Allstate rep, Jolee Baker, about the damages. She said to send photos and details to her directly and she'd handle our claim. A few weeks later, after several phone calls and emails, Jolee told us to contact the claims department.
We immediately filled out the claims form, with details and photos, and sent that off to the claims department. After 8 weeks, the claims adjuster Jasmine Calloway told us that our settlement amount would be $204.61. If we agreed, she'd send that agreement to Allstate Relocation Systems to pay us. We agreed to the amount but we didn't receive our settlement check.
After several more weeks of waiting for the settlement check, Jasmine Calloway told us that it's "not in her hands" and that we should contact Allstate Relocation Systems about our settlement. We called and emailed Allstate Relocation Systems every week from October 2010 to January 2011, trying to get our settlement check. Every email was ignored and every phone call was an excuse ranging from, "the supervisor is not here" to "it's not my department" to "we lost your paperwork" to "talk to Jasmine."
We waited for 4 months after agreeing to the settlement amount and then we contacted the Los Angeles Better Business Bureau. We explained what had happened. The LA BBB contacted Allstate and Allstate promised the LA BBB that they would pay us the amount agreed upon. This was on January 13, 2011. We still haven't received our settlement amount. Our BBB complaint id is 98578494.
Please don't ever hire Allstate Relocation Systems. If you see any good reviews of them out there, they're fake.
