Huge Regret Hiring A Abby - They’re too big to care - Sod they installed a disgrace

Hired A Abby Group for new sod, irrigation work and some lighting which was completed in mid-June 2021. Four weeks after the sod was installed - the yard became inundated with a variety of weeds and evolving into what looks like a wild pasture with flowering weeds and an overpopulation of weeds that makes up 40% of the front yard. They came out twice - the first time they admitted the yard looked terrible and they’d have a discussion within the company about how to handle. Another month and a half went by with little action and I had them come out to the yard again. I believe the owner and General Manager came to house house - got out of their trucks and immediately stated how great the yard looks - and then later stated it would take another year for the yard to look better. Well - which one is it??? Of course they could see how embarassing the front yard looks - its easily the worst looking yard on the street and likely the entire neighborhood, In fact the yard they replaced looked twice as good as the piece of crap they intstalled on my property. Spent almost $20k for an embarassment of a lawn and they quickly let me know its not their fault (thought they said it looked great), and that I’ll have to wait a year and it should look much better. Of course I’ll have to pay a yeard of maintenance to them to find out.
I’d stay the heck away from these lawn geniuses - their glad to take your money - but your satisfaction means nothing to them. Their too large a company to care - stick with the smaller landscapers who dont have a gazillion customers to move on too.
Would not use them again.
They’ll be hearing from me soon enough if the lawn doesnt shape up by next Spring as they allege. See below for my embarasssment of a lawn and let this sink in - they stated many times: “this is totally normal”
