I paid $253 for American West Services to replace My York Furnace Motor bracket and not pleased about this contractor did .The first time, the service guy come did not do right and my Furnace has a lot vibration and grinding noise, then I called for correct it,The second time the service guy come I show and told him to correct the wheel position,he put the blower wheel in centered of blower unit housing, and the furnace still vibration ,the service guy told me the wheel bad need to replace ,then last night I tried run my furnace on ,it has the Vibration and humming noise. Therefore, today I took My Furnace blower unit off and checked the mounting bracket and the wheel ,they are not installed right as the factory did.First ,the wheel is loose and moved, its hub too far from the end of Motor shaft, also the set screw is not point to Motor shaft flat spot, but point on to motor shaft round,so when motor on ,the wheel get loose and moved then caused the noise and vibration.Second for motor mounting bracket is not put right position out side of motor as factory did.The bracket base must be right at the edge of base motor to keep motor firmly when motor on with high speed did corrected both of these ,now my Furnace it run smooth ,has no vibration and noise anymore do not know the American West Services contractor has NATE CERTIFICATE HVAC TECH? Or their service guy to be well trained for HVAC ? But ,they gave me really bad service .I warning anybody if has service with this contractor must be careful!
