I have been going to Famous Nails for about 5 years. I drive past many other salons to get to this one because they are so good. I like that they are open on Sunday and that they stay open as long as customers are walking through the doors. They hate to turn people away. I always feel welcome and they do an excellent job. They do not do appointments. It is a Walk-in salon, first come first serve. Sometimes the wait is long because they are so popular. In those cases they give you an estimated wait time so you can do other things, return when they suggest and not lose your place in line.
I'd like to say something about the complaint that was posted. Many customers witnessed the event which precipitated the complaint and sided with the business. Although I did not witness it I heard from other customers who were there that the complainant was in the wrong and refused to pay the same posted prices we all pay-- which are reasonable for this area. She wanted to pay 1/2 price for having the salon do the nails of 11-year old girls-- but the price for doing a manicure is the same regardless of age. An 11-year old's hand is not so different from an adult hand. The business manager had to call the police before the customer would agree to pay her bill. Meanwhile other customers were forced to wait while the manager tried to deal with the complainant. As I said, I wasn't there but other customers are still talking about this event they witnessed and I wanted to let people know that there is another side to that complaint and I would support a much higher rating for the salon than a B-. To me they are an A.
